Weeping for a friend’s mother

I’ve known Jaspal forever….we click the moment we knew each other and has always stood by each other as friends….we had so much ups and downs in our lives and yet we have never forsaken each other…

It’s sad to know that his mother passed away today…..Jaspal has been through a lot recently…with his dad passing away and now his mother….sigh…In situation like this, it reminds us to treasure what we have right now before it’s too late…

I’m writing this blog for this dear friend’s mother….to let her know that we’ll look after her son and always treat him as part of our family…to always stand by him and give him our unconditional support…to love him as a brother…

Pamela’s wedding

Went to yet another colleague’s wedding last night at Singapore Recreation Club’s Padang Palace Restaurant.

It’s a light hearted event but definitely an enjoyable one. Had such a great  time hanging out with my colleagues, it’s really a rare opportunity that all of us gather and not talk about work, just relax and giving Pamela our blessings.

Amidst the dinner, there was some function going on at Padang and from the restaurant, we had such clear view of the amazing fireworks that took place!!! After dinner, my colleagues and i decided to head down to Long Bar at Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling.

This is my first time there and i can’t believe the amount of peanuts shells on the floor….haha it’s actually the tradition of the bar that they serve peanuts on each table and you could actually litter the peanuts shells just by throwing it on the floor…i think that’s the only place in Singapore where you can litter and not get fined!!!

The night ended with my beloved uncle fetching me from Raffles Hotel and sending me back. It’s amazing how small Singapore can be and how amazing outsiders can bring you closer to your relatives!! This uncle whom i usually meet once a year during Chinese New Year happens to be one of my current colleague’s ex-colleague…..i only get to know this fact during this Chinese New Year when i told him where i am working now….ever since then, we continue keep in contact….

Frankly speaking, i don’t really like my other uncles and this is the only one that i really like cos he is the most down to earth person, unlike my other uncles….he is the only one who really make an effort during each Chinese New Year to mingle with us!! In fact, my colleagues were shocked when i told them that my uncle is sending me back. haha….

Anyway, I’ll try to upload some photos taken from the wedding dinner and post it soon.

Feeling: Really happy for Pam!! I wish your all the happiness in the world cos you deserve it…

Celebrating Daniel’s Birthday

Daniel turned 17 yesterday, in order to celebrate his birthday…I’ve decided to have a day off work and have a small outing with Daniel and Jason….and guess what….we had a hell of a good time…

Firstly was the lunch + dinner (hee hee cos i wake up late…as usual, but can’t blame me hor…cos i left the office around 4.30a.m., had supper and only managed to be in bed by 7.00a.m. this morning), it took us forever to think of what to eat….finally we decided to go to Seoul Garden cos it’s Daniel’s favorite restaurant…don’t ask me why cos I’ve no idea as well…i don’t really think the food was that fantastic….but then again…it’s the company that you have that makes everything different from usual…

Wah food is everywhere!!!

This is call multi-tasking….cooking while sleeping…not many people can do that OK..

Almost done with cooking….let’s go for the free ice-cream!!!! Yum yum…

After having a sumptuous meal at Seoul Garden…we took a cab to Queensway Shopping Centre with a mission to find a pair of new shoes for Jason…it’s been such a long time since he last bought a decent pair of shoes…however, the one what we all agreed that was nice was too expensive. In the end, the ever so thrifty Jason decided not to buy that expensive pair of Adidas shoes and opt to buy the other pair of  Adidas shoes which is cheaper which he saw in Causeway Point few days back. After our mission has failed, we just walk around Queensway Shopping Centre window shopping, until Jason decided to buy a T-Shirt for himself…but he really regretted buying cos we all think that 29bucks is a bit expensive for that T-Shirt he has bought and he is almost in tears…haha but the ever so kind Jason told Daniel that he is welcome to wear that new T-Shirt if he fancy it or rather Daniel is welcome to wear any of Jason’s T-Shirts…awww so sweet!!!

After leaving Queensway Shopping Centre, we walked over to the nearby IKEA as it is still early and we had a great time taking funny photos there….
