How easy it is to make new friends!!!!

Today after Mass, the man went over to his friend’s office to help setup a server and i decided to go shopping alone….i’ve always enjoy shopping alone….i feel that my shopping trip is more fulfilling when i do it alone….cos i don’t have to listen to anyone’s opinion hee hee….in any case…today i didn’t manage to buy any stuff….but at least i’ve gotten what i really needed…which is a "Farewell Card" for my beloved supervisor who will be leaving us this friday…sob sob

After i’m done with shopping….i hop over to Cafe Iguana to grab an ice cold beer to chill myself in the extremely hot weather in the Sunday afternoon while waiting for the man….before i know it…it’s raining like cats and dogs….oh man how unpredictable singapore weather can be….

Because of the heavy rain…i’ve no choice but to shift to another table that i won’t get wet in…and the table next to me seated with 4 people were also shifting the table asked me to join them….i was like woah….just like that i made 4 new friends today….1 of the guy is from Zimbabwe another from Portugal and the remaining 2 were locals….to me i feel really happy to have made new friends and do a little bit of networking cos you never know when you’ll need them and when i’ve been wanting to be a CSR…so all the more i should start my networking skills now…

However the man was really really pissed off with me….he felt that it’s so dangerous of me to meet new friends and start drinking with strangers….i totally understand where he is coming from and his concerns…i really appreciate that but on the other hand…i was hoping he knows how i feel…i mean…i’ve always enjoy making new friends and i know how to protect myself…but then again…i really felt his care and concern lar…hee hee

So back to the new friends i’ve made…because it was raining so heavily…we decided to make a bet…4 person betting against the guy from Zimbabwe that the rain will not stop in  half an hour time….and sure enough we  won the bet and that guy ended up footing all our bills…hee hee….and up i gotten a free pint of beer and a glass of Lime Margarita @ Cafe Iguana. We then move on to Asylum to continue our drinking while i was waiting for the man and gotten another 2 free glasses of screwdrivers….wah…i ended up not paying a single cent for my drinks man….

anyway that’s not the point…the point is that i’ve made new friends….

It’s that time of the year again!!!

Can’t believe how time has flown by this year….it seems like yesterday when i was first complaining about daylight saving shit….can you believe it the previous daylight saving was long over and it’s daylight saving again!!!!

Daylight saving time (DST; also summer time in British English) is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn; several ancient cultures lengthened each summer daylight hour instead. Modern DST was first proposed in 1907 by William Willett, and saw its first widespread use in 1916 as a wartime measure aimed at conserving coal. Despite controversy, many countries have used it since then; details vary by location and change occasionally.

Adding daylight to afternoons generally benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours,[1] but it can cause problems for agriculture and other occupations whose hours depend on the sun.[2] Extra afternoon daylight appears to cut traffic fatalities;[3] its effect on health and crime is less clear. DST is said to save electricity by reducing the need for artificial evening lighting,[4] but the evidence for this is weak,[5] and DST can boost peak demand, increasing overall electricity costs.[6]

DST’s clock shifts complicate timekeeping and can disrupt meetings, travel, billing, recordkeeping, medical devices, and heavy equipment;[7] they also serve as twice-yearly fire safety reminders.[8] Many computer-based
systems can adjust their clocks automatically, but this can be limited
and error-prone, particularly when DST rules change.[9]

My very first aircon!!!

Gotten my very first aircon….all thanks to the man’s daddy….it’s a gift from him….though it’s a secondhand aircon but i’m equally excited….it’s one of those fixed to the windows type….due to the structure of my house….i can only have those type of aircon install in my room….

Today while rearranging my room furniture to have blend in the aircon, i realized that it’s been such a long long time since i last clean up my room…hee hee….the man was shocked by the amount of dirty he can find me my room….ok my room is not the typical neat and tidy room a girl’s room should be….but i really don’t have the time to clean it leh….

i’m determined to clean it up in dec when i’m on my one week leave from work….and from now to then…i’ll clean up bit by bit bah….

Feeling: Excited….

I’m a slow reader these days…

Haven’t really gotten the time to read the novel "My Sister’s Keeper" but there is something that i really want to share….well this book is about this little girl named, Anna, who had a sister who was suffering from Leukaemia and Anna was born for a very specific reason. She was born because a scientist managed to create a specific combination of precious genetic material which she can help save her sister by donating her bone marrow to her.

Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By the age of 13, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions and injections to help her sister, Kate, fight leukaemia. But Anna can’t help but think if her sister, Kate, were to be healthy, would her parents even have conceived her as that’s the very reason she existed. She couldn’t take it any much longer and decided to sue her parents for the rights of her own body.

What made me buy this book was when Anna said:
"If your parents have you for a reason, then the reason better exist. Because once it’s gone, so are you."

I really really like this song!!!!

It talks about
love in a very psycho way but I think it’s really
interesting….apparently the guy love that girl so much that he killed
her, within the song lyrics, it interestingly show the way the guy thinks and why he wanted to kill the woman that he loves….it portray a very different type of love which i think i can understand (maybe it shows the darker side of me)…you definitely have to watch the mtv…it’s probably the most gruesome mtv in the Chinese music industry that i’ve watched so far….way to go J.J

Listen to the song

Watch the MTV
