Kimi is not only a good driver but he is darn HOT as well.
Isn’t he just yummy!!! Too bad he is so taken and also too much of a drinker. But I still love him anyway.
I know I haven’t been very faithful in updating the latest news regarding F1 so the guilty me decided to do my part as a faithful Kimi fan in announcing the good news to all of you out there who probably don’t give a shit about F1.
Ferrari may have recorded a comfortable one-two in Barcelona on Sunday,
but behind them another six teams scored points, emphasising just how
competitive the 2008 Formula One season has become. McLaren returned to
form, Renault were back in the mix, Honda scored their first ’08
points, and Red Bull clinched their best result of the year.
The
recent intensive development work has obviously paid off for the bulk
of the teams then, though not by enough to trouble Ferrari, who left
Spain with a commanding constructors’ championship lead and with Kimi
Raikkonen nine points clear atop the driver standings…
Ferrari
Kimi Raikkonen, 1m 21.670s, P1
Felipe Massa, 1m 21.801s, P2
Yet
again, Ferrari had another fast and trouble-free day to take a dominant
one-two. They said they were surprised that the race was so close, but
in the same breath winner Raikkonen admitted that he could have gone
faster - had anyone got close enough to make him care! After everyone
had updated their cars for the European leg, the reds demonstrated that
not very much has changed.
McLaren
Lewis Hamilton, 1m 22.017s, P3
Heikki Kovalainen, 1m 22.453s, Retired, accident lap 22
The
race was good and bad for McLaren. Good insofar as Hamilton won a fine
third place and got close enough to keep Massa on his toes, bad after a
suspected front wheel failure duplicated the nasty accident that befell
Hamilton in Germany last year. Fortunately the current safety systems
all conspired to protect the popular Finn, who is expected to be fit to
race in Turkey.
BMW Sauber
Robert Kubica, 1m 22.106s, P4
Nick Heidfeld, 1m 22.519s, P9
BMW
Sauber lost their lead in the world championship for constructors, as
Ferrari moved to 47 points to their 35, but they remain a point ahead
of McLaren. Kubica drive a great race to keep Hamilton honest, but
shouldn’t really have lost out to the Briton at the start. Heidfeld was
terribly unlucky, running longer than the other front runners in his
first stint but then passing the pit entry mere seconds before he was
instructed to pit for fuel. Thereafter he was trapped by the safety car
and had to pit when the pit lane was still officially closed.
Refuelling when the safety car was out lost him a loot of ground, as
did the ensuing stop-go penalty.
Red Bull
Mark Webber, 1m 22.564s, P5
David Coulthard, 1m 22.842s, P12
Red
Bull also had a good and bad race. Webber was very happy with his
strong fifth place, and the reliability of his RB4, but Coulthard was
attacked by Sutil on the first lap and later by Glock. The latter
incident, in Turn Five, resulted in a left rear puncture that dropped
him to a 12th place finish.
Honda
Jenson Button, 1m 22.353s, P6
Rubens Barrichello, 1m 23.858s, Retired, accident damage lap 35
There
was more good news for Honda as Button scored their first points of the
season with sixth place - and set the race’s fifth-fastest lap. The
latest aero package on the RA108 may not yet be fully optimised, but it
certainly looks promising. Barrichello would also have been a points
contender, but for an unfortunate clash with Fisichella in the pits
which left him exiting with a damaged nose. Doing a lap with it trapped
beneath the car caused sufficient bodywork damage to prompt retirement.
Williams
Kazuki Nakajima, 1m 23.549s, P7
Nico Rosberg, 1m 23.319s, Retired, engine lap 42
Williams
should have taken three points, as Rosberg was running ahead of
eventual seventh-place finisher Nakajima. The German had taken his team
mate’s aero set-up for the race and was much happier with his FW30,
until it broke its engine on lap 42.
Toyota
Jarno Trulli, 1m 22.758s, P8
Timo Glock, 1m 23.007s, P11
Trulli
was a sixth place candidate until a mix-up over his second stop cost
him time and dropped him to eighth, while Glock damaged his nose on the
opening lap, had it replaced in his first pit stop, then damaged the
replacement against Coulthard as they battled for eighth place in the
closing stages.
Force India
Giancarlo Fisichella, 1m 23.439s, P10
Adrian Sutil, No time, Retired, accident lap 1
Fisichella
had a strong race and looked a possible points contender for a while,
despite having to conserve fuel during the second safety-car period.
Then he got caught up behind Sato and lost time, and subsequently had
his clash with Barrichello as he turned into his pit and caught the
Honda’s front wing. Later he was overtaken by Heidfeld and had to be
satisfied with 10th. Sutil blotted his copybook again with a first-lap
mistake which led to his retirement.
Super Aguri
Takuma Sato, 1m 24.617s, P13
Anthony Davidson, 26.864, Retired, radiator damage lap 9
Sato
and Davidson were battling for last place when the latter suffered
stone damage to a water radiator as a result of debris strewn on the
track by an off-course Piquet. That prompted retirement after eight
laps. Sato ran close to the points in ninth for a while, but dropped
back with his second stop and succumbed to Coulthard’s recovery late in
the race. He finished 13th and last.
Renault
Fernando Alonso, 1m 22.683s, Retired, engine lap 35
Nelson Piquet Jnr, 1m 25.444s, Retired, accident damage lap 7
Alonso
lost second place immediately to Massa at the start despite running the
lowest fuel load of all the fast qualifiers. He pitted after 16 laps,
three ahead of the Brazilian, but benefited from Kovalainen’s accident
and Heidfeld’s misfortune to run fifth until his engine broke after 34
laps. After his early misdemeanour, Piquet was taken out when he and
Bourdais collided as he attempted to pass the Toro Rosso on lap seven.
Toro Rosso
Sebastien Bourdais, 1m 36.677s, Retired, accident lap 8
Sebastian Vettel, 1m 35.648s, Retired, accident lap 1
It
was another tough race for Toro Rosso. Vettel got taken out on the
opening lap - for the third time this year - when Sutil spun in front
of him in Turn Four and he was unable to avoid the Force India. Then
Bourdais came together with Piquet seven laps later.
P.S: I have told you that this season is gonna be an exciting one!!!
Right now I’m battling with the idea if I should or should I not go to the gym tomorrow with Ah Yu. Sigh…..
Cough cough…..
A part of me is dying to go but the other part of me is still weak from the sickness.
I guess I should just pack my gym gear and see how I am feeling tomorrow morning.
But I guess it’s good to be back in the office today, seeing the familiar faces did put a little smile on my face. Catch with the gang for the latest gossip in the office and JC has been telling us how she fancy this Hippo stool she saw at Cathay over the weekends. We started making bets on how much this stool is going to cost her:
Mine bet: S$150.00
Lisan’s bet: Within S$200.00 - S$300.00
Alex’s bet: At least S$500.00
And the winner with the closest guess is ALEX!!
The Hippo stool cost S$650.00!!!
Thank God that JC didn’t buy it, I would have strangle her alive!!!
I’ve always like the lyrics of this song, I even thought that if one day if I were to be a teacher, I’ll use this song to encourage my students. Haha…I heard this song over the radio last night and remembered how much I used to like this song and how much I still like this song.

Do you wanna be a poet and write
Do you wanna be an actor up in lights
Do you wanna be a soldier and fight for love
Do you wanna travel the world
Do you wanna be a diver for pearls
Or climb a mountain and touch the clouds above
Be anyone you want to be
Bring to life your fantasies
But I want something in return
I want you to burn burn for me baby
Like a candle in my night
Oh burn
Burn for me
Burn for me
Are you gonna be a gambler and deal
Are you gonna be a doctor and heal
Or go to heaven and touch God’s face
Are you gonna be a dreamer who sleeps
Are you gonna be a sinner who weeps
Or an angel
Under grace
Ill lay down on your bed of coals
Offer up my heart and soul
But in return
I want you to burn
Burn for me baby
Like a candle in my night
Oh burn burn for me burn for me
Yeah
Ooh
I want you to burn baby ooh
Laugh for me
Cry for me
Pray for me
Lie for me
Live for me
Die for me
I want you to burn
Burn for me baby
Like a candle in my night
Oh burn burn for me burn for me
Yeah
Ah yeah
I want you to burn
I want you to burn for me baby
Ohh yeah

Haven’t been feeling all that great recently. Been coughing at night for the past 3 months and it seems that the cough has not been getting any better. Sigh….
Seen the doctor on Thursday and gotten a bag of medication. Can I just say that I hate medicine and I am so lazy to take them!! Ever so often I’ll miss my medication and maybe that is why my cough is getting from bad to worse.
I better start being faithful in taking the medicine this time.
Feeling: Sick
Went for my dressmaking lesson yesterday and was late by half an hour. Thank God the teacher didn’t scream nor mad at me…hee hee….I actually woke up too early…had my breakfast and fell asleep again….and by the time I woke up, I realized that I’m going to be so late for my class. Sigh…
Dressmaking is really a lot harder than most people think. It requires a lot of patience as well as attention to details!! Anyway, last week I was given homework from the teacher to sew the blouse that I’m suppose to be making. Ended up….everything that I’ve sewed was wrong!!! Haiz….I feel so useless and I spent most of the time rectifying my homework during the lesson and wasted a lot of the time!!! It’s been 3 whole weeks and still my blouse has not been completed. The teacher told me, no matter what, we are definitely getting the blouse done next week. There is even more homework this week and I have no idea where am I going to find the time to do it man….Shit!!!
After class has ended, I rushed down to Vivocity to meet up with the man, Sebastian and Clarisse. They had went to Sentosa for a suntanning session which I had to give a miss due to my dressmaking class commitment….So sianz…..Anyway, we were suppose to drop by Thomas’ (who is the man’s boss and also Sebastian’s uncle) mansion for a BBQ session. Therefore, we proceeded to GIANT to grab all the ingredients we needed for our BBQ. This BBQ is pretty different from the usual BBQ I had been to, because we are doing it the "Ang Moh" way!!
Thomas place
is really really "Wu Luu"…it’s located @ Seah Im Street, it’s those old British Colony house that has 2 stories, a swimming pool and surrounded by bushes!! Hmmm it’s a pretty nice place and during the night, the pool area looks so romantic!!! But I will not want to stay there because it’s too out of the way and I heard there are snakes around the area!!!
The kitchen area is not really big for the size of the entire place to be honest, because we hardly have much space to move around when all 5 of us are in it.
Thomas’ maid Mila made this potatoes dish that tasted heavenly:
We have Sebastian deciding which bottle of wine we should have for the night:
All in all, we had the following!!! On top of the ribs, we also had lamb chop, steak and also fish…..there were just too much to eat and everyone was so full after the meal!! However, after this BBQ, I think I would only go for "Ang Moh" BBQ in the future…no more satays and chicken wings…hahaha….
Oh did I mention that we all love it so much that we decided to have another session of BBQ next Saturday before Thomas is back from his Austria trip? Hee hee….
The feeling of catching up with an old friend over dinner is always great. Took the opportunity to meet up with Hongde for dinner while the man is away for business trip in Indonesia. The funny bit was that the moment Hongde turned up for our date, the first thing he told me was that he is now officially off the market, he has now gotten a girlfriend and that he is so taken. Hahaha…..I can totally feel his joy and excitement, after all this is his first relationship!!! I am really happy for this dear friend of mine considering the fact that it took him 26 long years to get hooked up with a girl. Hahaha….It always makes me wonder why did it take so long for girls out there to figure out the charming side of this good friend of mine. I guess it might be the fact that this chap only opens up when he really knows the other person.
We met up @ Bliss Restaurant which is located @ Punggol Park. This is one of my favorite hangout place because the price is relatively cheaper than most restaurants and the ambience is great (considering the fact that it’s within a neighborhood area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city). We started the dinner with my drinking a glass of red and him a glass of white. I have always have a sudden urge of having a nice alcoholic drink one in a blue moon and I’m still trying to figure out why. ;P
Anyway, both of us were literally starving because I didn’t have my breakfast and lunch as I woke up late (as usual) and only had a slice of bread before rushing off to church to attend the Good Friday Mass. As for Hongde, didn’t really ask him why though, maybe I was too overwhelmed by my own hunger and I only remembered him saying that he is starving!! We ordered our mains and 3 appetizers. Yes you heard me right, there were tons of food for only 2 people. On top of that, I had another red, a coke and a banana milkshake as dinner continued. As for him, he had another spirit and an espresso before calling the night.
We just kept eating and talking and when we decided to foot the bill, little did we expect that we had spent 3 full hours in the restaurant!! Goodness….but at the end of the day, both of us went separate ways with the satisfaction of time being well spent.
Goodnight.
